Agua por Vida Mural Project!

EYCEJ received funding from the State Coastal Commission for a mural project that will be located at the handball courts and YMCA in Maywood. The purpose of this project is to connect community to the importance of water, indigenous peoples- Tongva peoples, migrant peoples, and zoot suit culture.

This project is in collaboration with Tina Orduno Calderon, Jessa Calderon, local (regional and Tongva) artists, Rivers in Action, LA Neighborhood Land Trust, and Communities for a Better Environment.

Join Us on June 25th, 2023 for the 2nd community mural event where we will finalize designs and begin naming the murals!
